Allahabad University Upholds Public Service Ethos with Karmayogi Training

Prayagraj : The University of Allahabad (AU) has taken a significant step towards reinforcing a culture of professional excellence and public service by successfully conducting three batches of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Large Scale Jan Seva Training Programme. The sessions, held at the Department of Physics and the Centre of Food Technology, gathered members from across the university spectrum to internalize the core values of institutional responsibility and citizen-focused governance.

The training saw active participation from 252 staff members, including both teaching and non-teaching personnel from a wide range of departments such as Mathematics, Botany, Hindi, Economics, and Zoology, as well as essential support units like the Central Library, Registrar Office, and various Hostels. This collective involvement highlighted the university's commitment to improving overall institutional effectiveness.

An experienced team of Master Trainers, including Dr. Saroj Yadav, Prof. Neetu Mishra, Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh, and others, facilitated the programme. They employed participatory methods, practical exercises, and interactive discussions to ensure meaningful knowledge exchange. Senior academicians like Prof. Bharti Das, Prof. S. S. Shukla, and Prof. Anjali Mathur provided strong guidance and encouragement to the initiative.

Participants provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, citing the training as both insightful and highly motivating. Attendees stressed the vital role of such structured and continuous training in strengthening a service-oriented mindset within the academic environment. Through the effective execution of these sessions, the University of Allahabad has firmly reaffirmed its alignment with the objectives of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Mission, underscoring its dedication to accountability and the ethos of public service.
