SBI Ladies Club Spreads Warmth; Donates Essential Appliances to Lucknow Old Age Home Under CSR Drive

Lucknow : In a compassionate gesture aimed at improving the living standards of senior citizens, the SBI Ladies Club (Lucknow Circle) distributed critical daily-use appliances and utilities to an old age home in Sarojini Nagar on Friday. The facility is managed and run by the local non-profit organization, Sarvajanik Shikshonnayan Sansthan.

The philanthropic initiative was carried out under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of the State Bank of India (SBI). To ensure a comfortable living environment for the helpless and weaker elderly residents, the club donated a comprehensive suite of appliances, including water coolers, washing machines, room coolers, ceiling fans, wooden planks, and geysers.

Speaking at the distribution drive, Smt. Deepa Raj, President of the SBI Ladies Club (Lucknow Circle), reiterated the group's foundational ethos of community service.

"The SBI Ladies Club remains deeply committed to stepping forward for the vulnerable segments of our society. Our timely support with these essential utilities is a small step toward ensuring these senior citizens live a dignified, comfortable life while enhancing their physical and mental well-being," Smt. Deepa Raj said.

The event saw active participation from the core management of both the bank's community wing and the shelter home. Prominent attendees included Smt. Abhilasha Shrestha (Vice President, SBI Ladies Club), Smt. Neetu Kumar (Secretary), and Smt. Sunita Mahe (Joint Secretary).

Representing the managing NGO, Dr. Sushil Chandra Trivedi “Madhupesh”, Manager of Sarvajanik Shikshonnayan Sansthan, expressed deep gratitude to the bank's delegation for their generous support, noting that the heavy appliances would significantly ease the daily operations of the shelter home. Several other dignitaries, club members, and senior residents of the home were present to mark the occasion.
