Ambedkarnagar : Ramleela festival at NTPC Tanda’s Vidyut Nagar transformed the atmosphere, bringing to life the timeless tales of the Ramayana. Organized under the auspices of the NTPC Ramleela Teva Committee, this religious event showcased powerful scenes such as the slaying of Kumbhkaran, the fierce battle between Lakshman and Meghnath, the death of Meghnath, and the poignant moment when Sulochana came to claim her husband’s head. Each enactment resonated with the essence of the Ramayana, delivering a clear message of righteousness triumphing over evil.

The Ramleela festival drew enthusiastic crowds of devotees and spectators, reflecting a sense of community spirit. The event commenced with traditional worship and rituals, coupled with spectacular performances of vibrant tableaux that captivated the audience's hearts. Residents from nearby villages flocked to the site, underscoring the festival’s significance not only as a religious observance but also as a symbol of communal unity and social responsibility.

During the celebration, the Ramleela Committee recognized local journalists for their contributions to raising social awareness through their work. Senior journalist Mohammad Yusuf Siddiqui from Group 5 News, Sunil Kumar Sharma from Basti Meri Basti, and Ashfaque Ahmed from Hind Morcha were honored with floral bouquets by Uma Pati Pandey, Secretary of the Teva Committee. Expressing gratitude, Sharma noted, "This honor is not just a personal achievement, but a reinforcement of the collective responsibility of local media."

The event saw participation from senior officials of NTPC Tanda, employees, their families, and local villagers, all coming together to celebrate this cherished tradition.
