General Manager felicitated 10 railway employees with safety awards

Prayagraj :  General Manager North Central Railway Naresh Pal Singh felicitated 11 railway employees from Jhansi, Agra and Prayagraj divisions of NCR in the august presence of Principal Chief Safety Officer J.C.S. Bora and other Principal Heads of Department of North Central Railway for their excellent work towards safety.

The employees include  Gaurav Krishna, Trackman II, Dabra/Jhansi Division, Rahul Rawat, Trackman IV, Chhatarpur/Jhansi Division, Ashok Kumar Meena, Keyman, Kosi Kalan/Agra Division, Ram Singh Bairwa, Track Maintainer I, Palwal/Agra Division, Ram Abhilash Yadav, Technician C&W, Prayagraj/Prayagraj Divisio, Hare Ram Yadav, Station Master, Lusa/Prayagraj Division, Ram Lal, Pointsman/Jhingura/Prayagraj Division,Ritesh Kumar, Train Manager-Goods/DDU/Prayagraj Division, Rajesh Kumar Shukla, Deputy Station Superintendent, Naini/Prayagraj Division, Ajay Kumar Shakya, Sr. Train Manager-Goods, Jhansi/Jhansi Division.

Shri Ajay Kumar Shakya, Sr. Train Manager-Goods, Jhansi/Jhansi Division has been conferred with the " Employee of the Month Award" for the month of September 2025.

On 25.08.2025, while a train number LAR/SPL was being prepared at Karari station, he observed that flames were emanating from the 10th wagon of train number STPB, which was passing through the main line of the third line of Karari station. He immediately took action, showing a danger signal to the train manager of train number STPB and informing the Karari station master about the incident via walkie-talkie. The train manager on duty applied the brakes to stop the train and extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher. The C&W staff were instructed to detach the affected wagon from the load. Thus, their vigilance and alertness prevented a potential train accident.
