Bhanu Pratap and Daulat Hussain College in semi-finals

Prayagraj : Bhanu Pratap Singh Club defeated Shuats Club by five wickets and Daulat Hussain Inter College defeated Kishori Lal Club by 234 runs to reach the semi-finals of Asad Qasim Memorial State Level Under-16 Cricket Competition. While Bhanu Pratap Club's off-spinner Sanatan Rai (5.3-0-19-5) and Daulat Hussain Inter College's left-arm spinner Virat Gupta (6-5-05-6) shone in bowling, Daulat Hussain's Suraj Chauhan (88 runs not out, 46 balls, 8 fours, seven sixes), Shoaib Khan (70 runs, 58 balls, 10 fours, two Sixes), Mohammad Ahmed (59) andHarshit Ji Sahay (58 not out) played a half-century.After winning the toss at Majeediya College ground, Shuats Club team scored 123 runs (Shadan Abbas Rizvi 42, Rehan Wajahat 31, Sanatan Rai 5/19, Sumit Yadav 3/26, Divyansh Yadav 2/16) in 31.3 overs. In reply, Bhanu Pratap Singh Club scored 127 runs for five wickets in 22.5 overs (Sumit Singh 53 not out, Shivam Patwa 33, Shiv Gautam 28, Nadir Safir Khan 2/28, Prerak Pal 2/30). Sanatan Rai was given the Man of the Match award by former cricketer Pradeep Dubey. Sudhir Sonkar and Mohammad Nabi were the umpires and Khurshid Ahmed and Mohammad Saif were the scorers in the matchDaulat Hussain Inter College, playing first after winning the toss at its ground on Tuesday, scored 285 runs for two wickets in 35 overs (Sooraj Chauhan 88 not out, Shoaib Khan 70, Mohammad Hammad 59, Harshit Ji Sahay 58 not out, Sumit Yadav 1/34, Kamal Singh 1/48) and Kishori Lal Club scored 51 runs in 12.5 overs (Shivansh Pandey 20, Virat Gupta 6/05,Mohammad Hamdan 3/13).Virat Gupta was given the man of the match award by former cricketer Faiyaz Ahmed. Hitesh Srivastava and Ravi Kesarwani were the umpires and Ankit Pandey and Pritesh Sonkar were the scorers in the match.
