Axis Max Releases Findings from the Fifth Edition of the Annual India Retirement Index Study

Lucknow. Axis Max Life Insurance Limited today released findings from the fifth edition of its annual India Retirement Index Study (Iris 5.0). The study was conducted in partnership with Kantar, a leading global marketing data and analytics company. It is noteworthy that Axis Max Life Insurance Limited was formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Limited. Sumit Madan, MD and CEO of Axis Max Life, said, "Iris 5.0 demonstrates that Indians are now moving towards smarter and more comprehensive retirement planning.

Today's consumers are becoming more health-conscious, product-savvy, and financially confident than ever before. With improved health preparedness, the focus is now shifting to building adequate retirement funds and emotional balance. The study also revealed that a large segment of the population is uncertain about starting retirement planning."

This has highlighted the need for reliable advisory support. Different segments, such as gig workers, women, and return migrants, require tailored and inclusive solutions. The findings from the study demonstrate how the next phase of growth for this industry will depend on providing more innovative, advisory-based, and inclusive retirement solutions.'

Soumya Mohanty, MD and Chief Client Officer, South Asia, Kantar, said, 'IRIS 5.0 reflects the shift in retirement behavior across India. The growing awareness of products and the prioritization of health are noteworthy. The study's comprehensive analysis across different segments will provide policymakers, companies, and financial service providers with insights that will help them move from awareness to preparedness.'
