Inspector Phulpur honored the winning girl students in 'Criminal Law' essay competition
Prayagraj : As per the instructions of the Director General of Police Uttar Pradesh under the statewide awareness campaign 2.0 about the new criminal laws, which is being run from October 30 to November 01, under the direction of the Police Commissioner and Additional Commissioner of Police and under the efficient supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Ganganagar and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police GanganagarToday on November 01, Phulpur police station and Phulpur police station conducted an awareness program at Bacha Ram Yadav Intermediate College Phulpur under Phulpur police station area, making the students aware about three new laws - Indian Justice Code-2023, Indian Civil Protection Code-2023 in place of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Indian Penal CodeIn place of the Evidence Act, an essay writing/street play competition was organized in relation to the Indian Evidence Act-2023, in which a large number of students participated enthusiastically. 03 In the essay writing competition on new criminal laws, first place Ashi Yadav, second place Kajal Patel and third place Khushboo Yadav were encouraged by the police station in-charge Phulpur. During the program, Assistant Police Commissioner Phulpur gave information to the students about the detailed provisions of the three new criminal laws that came into force from July 01, 2024 - Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Protection Act and Indian Evidence Act. In the program, the need and usefulness of the new law in place of the previously prevalent criminal law Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Evidence Act was explained in detail. Where earlier the penal system was given utmost importance, in its place the new laws have made the laws more practical and victim-centric by establishing the justice system. Thus, the Indian Justice Code-2023 has been implemented in place of the pre-existing Indian Penal Code, the Indian Civil Defense Code-2023 in place of the Criminal Procedure Code and the Indian Evidence Act-2023 in place of the Indian Evidence Act has been implemented from July 01, 2024. During the program, police officers gave detailed information on the main features of the new criminal laws. In particular, provisions related to 'zero FIR, e-FIR, time bound justice, women and child protection, definition of new crimes and use of forensic science and technology were highlighted in detai.l
