Muraleedharan attends G20 foreign ministers meeting in Brazil
A meeting of foreign ministers of G20 countries was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday, in which Minister of State for External Affairs V.
22-02-2024. New delhi . A meeting of foreign ministers of G20 countries was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday, in which Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan represented India. During this, apart from expressing his views on important issues, he also expressed India's commitment to Brazil's strong support during its G20 presidency.
On the sidelines of this meeting held on 21-22 February, Muraleedharan met with foreign ministers of many countries and discussed further strengthening mutual relations with India.

Earlier, the Minister of State wrote in a post on Wednesday that it was a pleasure to have a brief conversation with French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourn, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and Australian Finance Minister Katie Gallagher on the occasion of the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting in Rio.
Muraleedharan presented his views on the topic 'Role of G20 in dealing with ongoing international tensions'. The Minister of State stressed on resolving the Ukraine issue through dialogue and diplomacy. He said India believes in a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine issue. We condemn terrorism in all its forms. We must not allow the conflict to spread further in West Asia.
Along with this, Muraleedharan stressed on strengthening maritime security and addressing geopolitical issues constructively. He said that as an economic forum, G20 should focus on SDGs and climate change.
