Inauguration of 3 schools built in Nepal with the help of India

New Delhi. With the financial assistance of India, 3 school buildings were inaugurated at three different places in Nepal last week. These school buildings, built under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation', were jointly inaugurated by officials of the Indian Embassy with local leaders.

While two school buildings were inaugurated in Sunsari district of Nepal on Wednesday, a school building was also inaugurated in Nawalparasi (East) on Friday. According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Bhadgaon Sanwari Secondary School, built at a total cost of 2.63 crore Nepalese rupees in Ramdhuni Municipality of Sunsari district, was jointly inaugurated by First Secretary Suman Shekhar in the Indian Embassy, ​​District Coordination Committee (DCC) Chief Rajan Mehta and local Mayor Shankar Lal Chaudhary.

Apart from this, Shri Bhagwati Secondary School building, built at a total cost of 3.5 crore Nepalese rupees in Inaruwa Municipality, Sunsari, was inaugurated by First Secretary Suman Shekhar, DCC Chief Rajan Mehta and local Mayor Kedar Bhandari.

A school in Bulingtar Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi (East), constructed with the financial assistance of the Government of India at a total project cost of 2.75 crore Nepali Rupees, was jointly inaugurated by Member of Parliament Dr. Shashank Koirala, District Coordination Committee Chief Bhagauti Yadav, Bulingtar Municipality Chairman Dipendra Sunari and First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu Dr. Sahil Kumar.

India has been continuously supporting the neighbouring country in strengthening the basic infrastructure in various sectors of Nepal including education and health under its 'Neighbourhood First' policy. These projects were started as High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) under the agreement on High Impact Community Development Projects between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal. Local leaders present at the inauguration ceremony of all these projects constructed at a cost of about Rs 9 crore expressed their gratitude to the Government of India and the Indian Embassy.
