Lucknow - State Congress President Ajay Rai, in a press conference at the State Congress Headquarters in Lucknow, has raised serious questions on the law and order situation of the state and has also demanded the immediate resignation of the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Yogi Adityanath, who has failed to maintain law and order, on moral grounds. He condemned the brutal murder of six people including two minor children in Deoria and the incident of a drug dealer being beaten to death by a BJP councilor-husband in Kanpur district along with the murder of a doctor by BJP leaders in Sultanpur district and the jungle raj prevailing in the state. The Yogi government of the state has been blamed for the storm of crimes and has been held responsible for the protection of criminals.
State Congress President Shri Ajay Rai, while addressing the press conference, said that today Bharatiya Janata Party has become a haven for criminals. Most of the accused criminals and rapists are in the Bharatiya Janata Party and they have government protection. That is why not a day goes by when murders are not taking place and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are not being accused of those murders.
He said that the incident in Sultanpur was horrific, holes were made in the knees of Dr. Ghanshyam Tiwari with a drill machine and the ribs were broken by hitting them with an iron rod due to which he died. Such heart-wrenching and horrific murders have become the identity of Yogi Raj. But the hearts of BJP leaders and the Chief Minister did not melt because the murderers were BJP leaders. In the name of action, bulldozers were used on the government lands encroached upon by them, but the bulldozers did not move toward the personal properties of the criminals.
He has asked the Chief Minister why such discrimination among criminals. A murder takes place in the house of a Central Government minister and the son's pistol used in the murder is recovered, but the minister's son is not arrested, a murder takes place in the MLA's house, and instead of action, there is only a cover-up. Yesterday's incident of mass murder in Deoria has shocked the entire country. In this incident, 6 people including two minor children were brutally murdered and the Chief Minister kept giving speeches in the adjacent district of Gorakhpur. After all, why does the sound of these bullets and the screams of the victims' families not reach the ears of the Chief Minister?
State Congress President said that just a few days ago, a Dalit teenage daughter was raped and her family members were beaten up in Amethi, but no action was taken. In Azamgarh, a rape victim attempted self-immolation in front of the police station, but the criminals are still roaming around without fear. The government's action in the incident of rape of 3 minors in Noida is also under question. The government has been protecting the son of the murderer of the Union Minister in Lakhimpur. Apart from this, many incidents like the murder of a married woman in Bijudi village of Ayodhya district, the body of a woman being recovered in Rampur Puwari village of Ayodhya, and the murder of five members of a family in the month of May in the same district and the murder of five members of the Gupta family in Prayagraj. No concrete action has been taken in any of these cases and the culprits are out of reach. Many incidents of rape took place in districts Etah, Bulandshahr, and Baghpat in which the culprits are associated with BJP, that is why no action was taken.
State Congress President Ajay Rai said on the reason for increasing crime in the state, when the Deputy Chief Minister of the state is getting the land captured, when Dalits have been killed for land in Kaushambi, then why would not the morale of common criminals be boosted. In such a situation, how can BJP stop anarchy? This government works to shine its own face through media management, whereas on the ground, crime and fear are prevalent and Jungle Raj is completely intact. Maximum crime and violence are taking place against Dalits and women in the state.
The direct reason for this is the criminals getting protection from the government and trying hard to save them. In the Kanpur incident, drug dealer Amol Deep Singh was beaten to death by his BJP councilor husband. One of his eyes was completely damaged and the other one also suffered serious injuries. He is fighting for his life in a hospital in Delhi. To save the councilor's husband, all the leaders of Kanpur BJP and Assembly Speaker Shri Satish Mahana were seen in the viral video going to the PRO Commissioner's office and threatening him to save the criminals.
Shri Ajay Rai said that according to the statistics, on average 34 incidents of crime against Dalits are taking place every day in the state. On average, 135 crimes are being committed against women every day. The BJP government, which spread the propaganda of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', wasted 79 percent of the Women's Security Fund on false propaganda instead of spending it in the interest of women. Just in August, Amardeep Jewelers and his son were murdered in Ambedkar Nagar district, the culprits are still unknown. After all, is there a rule of law in the state or the jungle rule of criminals? Crime is at its peak under the Yogi government of the state. There is an atmosphere of fear in the entire state and the government has completely failed to stop crime, no one is safe anywhere.
