Gayatri Jayanti and Ganga Dussehra Celebrated with Vedic Rituals and Tribute in Bengaluru

Bengaluru : A spiritually vibrant celebration took place at Gayatri Chetna Kendra, Bengaluru, marking the twin occasions of Gayatri Jayanti and Ganga Dussehra. Devotees engaged in a 12-hour uninterrupted Gayatri Mantra chanting, creating a sacred atmosphere filled with devotion and positive vibrations. A grand Gayatri Yagya was performed with mass offerings from the attendees.

The event also paid heartfelt tribute to Yug Rishi Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya, founder of the Gayatri Parivar, on his death anniversary, where participants offered floral homage and reflected on his contributions to spiritual awakening.

The Vedic rituals were coordinated by Rita Rajak, Arpita Katre, Gayatri Goyal, Madhu Gupta, and Arya, while several traditional ceremonies like Annaprashan, Naamkaran, Vidyarambh, Punsavan, Upanayan, Initiation, Marriage and Birthday rites were conducted by Pritam, Ankit Abhishek, Vaibhav Jharbade, Shivangi Jharbade, and NKP Singh.

Key speaker Pritam Jena highlighted the significance of the Jyoti Kalash, brought from Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj, and urged participants to engage in planned regional activities. Notably, the event was part of the centennial celebrations of the eternal flame (Akhand Deepak) at Shantikunj and the birth centenary of Vandaniya Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma.

Speaking on the five pillars of Indian culture—Gau (Cow), Ganga (River), Gita, Gayatri, and Guru—Madhu Gupta emphasized their timeless relevance and preservation. The audience was also introduced to Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya’s life journey across three incarnations and his mission for spiritual transformation.

The program concluded with a peace invocation (Shanti Path) and ritual sprinkling of energized water, followed by prasadam distribution. The event saw the gracious presence of Shekhar Chaturvedi, Karnataka State Coordinator and lead representative of the center.
