District Magistrate Addresses Waterlogging at Akbarpur Underpass

Ambedkar Nagar: District Magistrate Avinash Singh visited the railway underpass in Attwai, Akbarpur, where waterlogging issues have caused difficulties for local residents for several months. Alongside the Executive Engineer of Irrigation, Ayodhya, and other officials, he conducted an on-site inspection to assess the situation. The inspection revealed that water seepage from an adjacent canal was the primary cause of the problem, as protective measures were not implemented during the underpass construction.

DM Singh instructed Executive Engineer Rajneesh Gautam to prepare an estimate for canal lining and initiate further action to resolve the issue. Additionally, he directed Block Development Officer/ District Finance and Statistics Officer Anupam Singh to coordinate with the DRM Railway and Irrigation Department, ensuring a joint meeting with concerned officials. The aim is to provide a long-term solution for uninterrupted and smooth transportation for local residents.
