Police Arrest Two in Major Robbery Case

Lucknow:On August 20, 2024, Mrs. Saanjh Verma from Vikas Nagar, Lucknow, reported a shocking Robbery at her office, Vasudha Realty, located in Gomti Nagar. The incident involved the breaking of locks and the theft of gold and silver jewelry, along with six gold biscuits and cash amounting to ₹3.25 lakh. The FIR, registered at the Vibhuti Khand Police Station under case number 0290/2024, highlighted the gravity of the crime.

In a swift response to the incident, a joint police team, including the Crime Team and the Eastern Deputy Commissioner of Police, launched an investigation. The suspects, identified as Mintu Vishwas and Ram Bharose, were arrested near the railway yard adjacent to Cinepolis. Upon arrest, police recovered ₹87,400 in cash, along with various items made of yellow metal, including gold biscuits, chains, and a nose ring. Following the recovery, charges were enhanced to include section 317(2) of the BNS 2023. Efforts to apprehend other suspects involved in the theft are ongoing.
