Basti: In a proactive initiative under the Uttar Pradesh government's Mission Shakti Phase-5, Inspector Vijay Kumar Dubey led a cyber crime awareness program at Rajkiya Girls Inter College, Sonvarsha. Accompanied by Head Constable Raghvendra Dubey and other officers, the program informed 150 students about various cyber threats, including credit card fraud, ATM scams, and online identity theft. The session emphasized the importance of digital safety, discussing how to avoid becoming victims of cyber crime.

The program also covered the concept of digital arrest and ways to prevent digital house arrests, aiming to equip students with knowledge on identifying and reporting cyber crime incidents. Attendees were guided on utilizing cyber help numbers like 1930 and the website www.cybercrime.gov.in to lodge complaints. Furthermore, awareness about women's safety helplines, including 1090, 1076, and 112, was highlighted to ensure a comprehensive understanding of available support systems. This initiative aims to empower young women and foster a safe digital environment in the community.
