Advocates Demand Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh

Kanpur: On the occasion of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary, Kanpur Kachari Bar Association held a tribute ceremony led by Pandit Ravindra Sharma, former president of the Lawyers Association. Paying homage to Bhagat Singh, he highlighted the martyr's unparalleled sacrifice for the country’s independence. Sharma emphasized that the ideals Bhagat Singh fought for remain relevant today, and urged the Indian government to honor him with the Bharat Ratna.

Lawyers, including senior advocates like Shailesh Trivedi, Arvind Dixit, and Vijay Sagar, passionately raised slogans demanding Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh. The event concluded with the attendees offering floral tributes to Bhagat Singh’s portrait, echoing calls for official recognition of his sacrifice for India's freedom.
