Actor Worship Khanna Believes Modern Youth Are Shaping the Nation's Future
Actor Worship Khanna shares his views on International Youth Day, highlighting the importance of youth in nation-building.

"Today's youth will be tomorrow’s elders. The elders we have today were once young, and they brought about changes, upgraded things, and worked for their nation. In our culture, people often retire after their sixties, so it is in our youth that we must do something for our country, culture, and society," Khanna said. He added that he fully agrees with the notion that the youth are making significant changes, and their efforts are contributing to the nation's growth.
Navigating Misinformation and Technology
Khanna also spoke about the challenges of misinformation in the digital age, a problem he believes can affect anyone, not just the youth. He reminisced about a time when gaining knowledge required a lot of effort, research, and physical presence in libraries. Now, with information readily available on social media and the internet, the challenge is not access, but discernment.
"Now, so much information is available in the market through social media, Instagram, and the internet. Anyone can get what they want instantly. I don’t think having so much information available is wrong. The real problem is what to take and what not to take," he explained.
Despite this, he remains optimistic about the new generation. He praised their ability to distinguish between credible and fake information, thanks to their tech-savviness. "The new generation is smart enough to know. We have verified pages and authentic sources. They can easily tell the difference between fake news and genuine knowledge. I’m glad our youth is so smart," he stated, highlighting that the youth are quick to cross-check information to find the truth.
Khanna believes that while the youth should constantly upgrade themselves with new technology and ideas, they should not lose their cultural and traditional values. "Make yourself more informative. Make yourself advanced. Accept technology, but don’t lose your culture. Don’t lose your traditions," he advised. He believes that the real magic happens when modern advancements, like AI and robotics, are combined with India's rich culture and upbringing.
He stressed the importance of remembering one's roots. "We should never forget which country we belong to, where we were raised, and the culture we are known for. We should never leave behind the traditions and values that define us. We should grow them along with everything else," he concluded.
