Classroom and Green Library Inaugurated in Vietnam Under Mekong-Ganga Cooperation

The Indian Embassy in Hanoi posted on the social media platform 'X' on October 1st that a classroom block was inaugurated at Ngoc Chung Kindergarten in Trung Khanh Commune, Cao Bang Province. It was constructed under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Quick Impact Project of the Government of India. The inauguration took place in the presence of To Thi Trang, Counsellor (Economic and Development Partnership) of the Embassy and Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Cao Bang, Ngo Thi Truong, Party Secretary of Truong Khanh, and Hoanh Van Tien, Chairman of the People's Committees of Truong Khanh.
Earlier, the Indian Embassy, announcing the inauguration of the Green Library Project, wrote on X: "The Green Library Project, supported by the Government of India under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Quick Impact Project, was inaugurated by Counsellor (Economic and Development Partnership), Chinpau Ngaithe, Ngo Thi Hien, Deputy Director of Finance of Thai Nguyen Province, and Ngo Manh Tho, Vice President of Phu Xuyen Commune, at the Vietnam India Primary and Secondary School in Na Mao Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province.
This is yet another testimony to our continued cooperation and engagement with the Vietnam India Primary and Secondary School since 1998." Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation framework are an initiative for grassroots community infrastructure development between India and the Mekong Region countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam). The key areas of cooperation under the MGC are tourism, culture, education and transport and communications, with the aim of enhancing inter-state movement and transit as well as strengthening people-to-people ties between the two regions.
