NTPC Group Hits 85.6 GW Capacity Milestone
Power giant NTPC reaches 85,637 MW global capacity after commissioning a new solar unit in Khavda.

NEW DELHI-India’s power major, in, has achieved a significant milestone by commissioning 13.98 MW of solar power at the Khavda Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This addition, effective December 30, 2025, strengthens the company’s transition toward sustainable green energy.
With this latest expansion, NTPC’s total installed and commercial capacity has soared to 85,637 MW. Developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, this project reflects NTPC’s strategic commitment to reaching 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by the year 2032.
