Prayagraj: The Roman Catholic Diocese of Prayagraj celebrated its annual Christmas Milan at the iconic St. Joseph’s College (SJC), bringing together the city's prominent figures in a spirit of joy and communal harmony. Led by the Most Reverend Bishop Louis Mascarenhas, the event served as a vibrant platform for interfaith dialogue and shared festivities.

The gathering saw a distinguished guest list, including high-ranking officials from the civil administration, the judiciary, the legislature, and the media. Bishop Louis Mascarenhas opened the ceremony by emphasizing that such gatherings are vital for strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the Church and the wider community. "This is a moment of shared happiness where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate peace," the Bishop remarked.

The program commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the enchanting performance of traditional Christmas carols that filled the air with festive cheer. In his keynote address, Bishop Mascarenhas delivered a message centered on the core values of service, peace, and goodwill. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the administrative leaders, police officers, and judicial members for their unwavering support in maintaining the welfare and peaceful progress of society.

The event concluded with a "High Tea," providing an informal setting for guests to interact and discuss collaborative efforts for social development. Under the guidance of Bishop Mascarenhas, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Prayagraj remains deeply active in the fields of education, healthcare, and social service. As the event drew to a close, the Bishop offered prayers for a prosperous New Year, wishing all attendees a future filled with harmony and holistic growth.
