Secretary of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in Asia Cooperation Dialogue
Tehran. Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dammu Ravi represented India in the 19th Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting held in Tehran, the capital of Iran. During this, he clarified India's commitment on various issues and also held talks with leaders and officials of many countries.
The Indian Embassy in Iran wrote on the social media platform 'X' on Monday that in the 19th Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, Secretary (Economic Relations) Dammu Ravi highlighted India's commitment to strengthening and improving multilateralism, respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity in connectivity projects.
During the meeting, Ravi emphasized sharing India's digital public infrastructure experience, integrating traditional medicine into the national health care system and the call for climate action and climate justice. Along with this, he discussed with the leaders and officials of many countries on the sidelines of the meeting to strengthen relations with India.

The Indian Embassy in Tehran said that Ravi met Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mehdi Safari and discussed bilateral trade relations, including the development of Chabahar Port. He discussed bilateral cooperation and areas of mutual interest with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Rudenko Andrey Yuryevich.
According to the embassy, he also met Dr. Aloyev Bakhromjon Zhuraboevich, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Secretary (Economic Relations) met Mohammad Shahriar Alam, Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, during which he expressed India's commitment to 'Neighbor First' policy towards Bangladesh. Ravi held a useful meeting with Oman Ambassador Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Hinai and discussed bilateral cooperation, connectivity and regional development.
