PM Narendra Modi arrived in Austria, Chancellor Nehammer gave him a warm welcome
Vienna. PM Narendra Modi and Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer had a historic meeting in Vienna on Wednesday. Chancellor Nehammer appeared very excited on the arrival of an Indian Prime Minister in Austria after 41 years and he warmly welcomed PM Modi.

Nehmer took a selfie with PM Modi, who arrived in Austria directly from a Russia tour on Tuesday night and shared it on the social media platform 'X' and wrote PM Narendra Modi, welcome to Vienna! It is a pleasure and honor for us to welcome you to Austria. Austria and India are friends and partners. I look forward to our political and economic discussions during your visit.
Ministry of External Affairs Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on 'X' on Wednesday that PM Narendra Modi today held extensive and meaningful talks with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer. The discussion covered various dimensions of bilateral partnership, including trade and investment, S&T, green energy, AI, start-ups, environment and climate change, cultural cooperation, and people-to-people relations. The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi said after the meeting, "We agree to reform the United Nations and other international institutions so that they can be made contemporary and effective. We have talked in detail about all the ongoing disputes in the world, whether it is the conflict in Ukraine or the situation in West Asia. I have said earlier that this is not the time for war."
During this, PM Modi also participated in a cultural program, in which he was welcomed with a wonderful singing of 'Vande Mataram'.
