UP ATS Raids 15 Districts Targeting Bhatti Network
UP ATS raids 15 districts, hunting suspects tied to Pakistani terrorist Shahzad Bhatti's network today.
LUCKNOW-The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (UP ATS) launched coordinated raids across 15 districts on Saturday, targeting suspects linked to Pakistani terrorist Shahzad Bhatti's network. Teams focused on western Uttar Pradesh and districts bordering Indo-Nepal, as part of a counter-terrorism crackdown.
Reports say about half a dozen suspects have been detained and questioned about contacts, activities and funding. The central government had declared Bhatti a terrorist following a UP Police report, prompting the ATS to scrutinise his operatives across the state.
Investigators are also examining digital devices and documents during the ongoing searches. Several media reports cite varying figures for districts and detentions, so details may change.
