Lucknow to Host 'Vihang Utsav' at New Wetland

Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to organize ‘Vihang Utsav-2024’ on November 15 and 16 at the 37-acre wetland in CG City, behind Ekana Cricket Stadium. This eco-festival aims to raise environmental awareness through activities like birdwatching, quiz contests, street plays, painting, and photography competitions. The event is designed to engage children and youth, encouraging them to connect with nature.

LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar stated that the wetland, developed as an eco-tourism center, promotes the natural habitat of various indigenous and migratory birds. The festival will feature birdwatching hides, watch towers, and viewing decks, ensuring a great experience for visitors. The event will also include cultural performances, where local artists will perform melodious music. The entire initiative is being planned in collaboration with the Forest Department.
