Indore. 28th February. “Acharya Vidyasagar University” should be established in the name of the great Acharya of Shraman culture. These views were expressed unanimously by the country's eminent scholars in a virtual meeting.

On Wednesday, Acharya Shri Vidyasagar was presented in the Vinyanjali ceremony organized under the auspices of 'Shri Akhil Bharatvarshiya Digambar Jain Vidvat Parishad', a prestigious organization of scholars. In this meeting held under the chairmanship of Professor Bhagchandra Jain 'Bhaskar', the renowned President of the Council, as the first speaker, former Head of the Department and Dean of Mohanlal Sukhadia University and Patron of the Council, Professor Prem Suman Jain, Udaipur, spoke on the personality and work of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Muniraj.

Throwing light on this, a demand and suggestion was put forth for the establishment of a university in his name, which was strongly supported and approved by all the scholars present in the meeting in their respective statements. Paying homage to Acharya Shri Vidyasagar ji, who died in Samadhi towards Muktipath on the midnight of 17-18 February 2024, Dr. Mahendra Kumar Jain 'Manuj', General Secretary of the Academic Council, said that - Acharya Shri Vidyasagar ji wrote silent epics like Hindi-Sanskrit. He was the author of many centuries of poetry, poetry translation, collection of poetry, discourse collection etc. in languages. He gave initiation to 131 Muniraj, 172 Aryika Mataji, 57 Elak, 122 Kshullak, 3 Kshullika Ji. He awakened the spirit of Swadeshi awakening and inspired many handloom industries to be established. He blessed and guided the movement of calling India not India but India.
