Prayagraj: Renowned storyteller Chandra Kishore Jaiswal has been honored with the esteemed ‘Shri Lal Shukla Smriti IFFCO Sahitya Samman 2024.’ This year also marked the debut of the 'Shri Lal Shukla Smriti IFFCO Yuva Sahitya Samman,' awarded to Renu Yadav for her short story collection, Kala Sona. The awards ceremony took place at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, with senior writer Dr. Vishwanath Tripathi serving as the chief guest.

Born in 1940 in Biharganj, Bihar, Chandra Kishore Jaiswal is a distinguished author known for his in-depth exploration of rural and agrarian life. His acclaimed works, including Gawah Gairhajir and Jeevach Ka Beta Buddh, have even been adapted into films. Jaiswal has earned numerous prestigious accolades for his insightful social commentary and expert storytelling.

Renu Yadav, a professor at Gautam Buddha University, received the youth literature award for her collection Kala Sona, which addresses gender dynamics and social transformation in rural India. A noted feminist writer, Yadav has authored several critical essays and poetry collections and has received wide recognition for her contributions to feminist literature.
