78th Foundation Day Celebrated At BSIP
BSIP, a premier DST institute, celebrated its 78th Foundation Day with campus-wide festivities.
Lucknow: The Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP), under India's Department of Science and Technology, celebrated its 78th Foundation Day. Established in 1946, BSIP is a leading research institute dedicated to studying fossil remains to understand Earth's geological and biological history. The event featured a tribute to the founder, Prof. Birbal Sahni, and a lecture on coral reefs, highlighting the institute's significant contributions.
During the celebration, the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP) unveiled its annual Hindi magazine. Distinguished guests, including Dr. S. Sundar Manoharan and Dr. Bhaskar Narayan, highlighted BSIP's dedication to innovation and collaboration. The event also honored recent PhD graduates and recognized BSIP's significant contributions to international research.
