Water is important: Drinking water becomes even more important in monsoon. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. You can add lemon or honey to it. Take care of the purity of water.
Eat hot food: Hot food is easier to digest than raw or cold food. This helps in preventing seasonal diseases.
Drink soup: Consume soup containing ginger, garlic and black pepper. These help in increasing immunity.
Eat ginger and garlic: These have antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. Use them in food.
Ghee and moong dal are beneficial: According to Sandeep Semwal, ghee and moong dal should be consumed. Moong dal is an antioxidant and helps in digestion. Ghee is good for digestion.
Drink coconut water and fresh juices: You can drink chemical free fresh fruit juices and coconut water. Lemon-ginger tea is also beneficial.
Eat light food: Light food is easy to digest in monsoon.
What not to eat: Avoid oily, processed food, too much sour-sweet, street food and meat. These can spoil digestion.
