Ambedkar Nagar. During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed the officials regarding the celebration of the holy festival Eid-ul-Zuha safely, peacefully and with harmony and said that there should be no negligence of any kind in maintaining peace, security and law and order.

He said that the program of sacrifice lasts for about three days, in this festival the Muslim community offers prayers in Idgahs, mosques and traditionally sacrifices are made at fixed places.

He said that during this time, the concerned Executive Officer and District Panchayat Raj Officer will ensure special cleaning and sprinkling of lime around mosques and prayer places in urban and rural areas, proper arrangements for water supply should also be ensured.

After the sacrifice, the remains will be disposed of by digging a sufficient number of deep pits at the appropriate place, adding bleaching, salt and lime in it and covering it properly, so that any kind of infection does not spread.

He said that all the Sub-District Magistrates, Area Officers, Inspectors in charge, Police Station Heads will ensure in their respective areas that the sacrifice is done only at the pre-determined traditional places, no sacrifice will be done in the open under any circumstances.

No new tradition will be established on the said festival. No negligence of any kind will be tolerated in its compliance.

The District Magistrate, while giving instructions to the Superintending Engineer Electricity Distribution Section, said that by conducting a field inspection of the main routes of Namaz, ensure that the loose and dilapidated electrical wires are repaired in time and the electricity supply should be operated smoothly during the festival.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate while instructing the concerned officers said that the officers who have been given the responsibility should discharge their responsibility with full devotion and play their role in ensuring the successful completion of the festival, there should not be any negligence of any kind in these works.

President of Police Dr. Kaustubh, who was present in the meeting, while instructing all the Police Circle Officers, Inspectors in charge, Police Station Head, said that during the festival, they should keep roaming in their respective areas continuously, maintain peace and security, so that no untoward incident of any kind takes place.
