RPF Prayagraj Division won the trophy of departmental volleyball competition
Volleyball team of Mechanical Department of North Central Railway became the runner up

Prayagraj. The three-day "Inter-Departmental Railway Men's Volleyball Competition" organized by the Divisional Sports Association of North Central Railway Prayagraj Division from 12 May to 14 May 2024 at DSA Ground Prayagraj was concluded.
The volleyball team of Railway Department won the inter-departmental railway men's volleyball competition by defeating the mechanical department team by 25 - 16 and 25 - 19 points in both the sets and won the trophy.
The performance of Omveer Singh, Bhadauria, Naresh Singh and Surjit Singh from the winning team RPF and Amardeep Singh, Shailendra Yadav and Srinath Sharma from the runner-up team Mechanical Department was commendable. Phoolchand Gupta, Altaf Ali, Baijnath Tripathi, Ravi Verma and Mukesh Shukla played the role of judges/referees in the competition.
The team entered the finals by defeating the engineering department team by 21 – 25, 25 – 15 and 25 – 17 points. The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the competition was held under the chief hospitality of Mr. Himanshu Badoni, DRM of North Central Railway Prayagraj Division.
The chief guest presented the trophy to the winning volleyball team of the competition, RPF Prayagraj Division, and the runner-up mechanical department team.
Senior volleyball player and captain of North Central Railway team Baijnath Tripathi welcomed all the guests attending the competition. Meanwhile, Divisional Sports Secretary of Railways, Dharmendra Nishad thanked everyone.
During the final match, mainly Senior DPO Manish Khare, Senior DSC Vijay Prakash Pandit, Rakesh Mishra, Rajkumar Yadav, Shahzad Ahmed, Anudeep Kumar, Ranvijay Singh, Ganesh Kumar, Ayush Singh, Rakesh Mishra, Mithlesh Kumar, Raju Pal, Mohd. Dignitaries like Faiz Khan, Dr. S.P. Sharma, Virendra Singh, Atul Siddharth, Dr. Parvez Ahmed and Suresh Sharma etc. were present.
