Lucknow University is organising national workshop on Understanding Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh
R L Pandey Lucknow। Department of Political Science is organizing a two-day national workshop on "Understanding Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh: Trends and Tendencies" on 8th and 9th February in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Study Centre, New Delhi at Malviya Hall, University of Lucknow.
The main objective of this workshop is to promote an understanding of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh region and encourage research acumen amongst the scholars from across the academia. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, will be the chief guest of this workshop. Shri Ashutosh Bhatnagar, Director, Jammu Kashmir Study Centre, New Delhi will be the keynote speaker in this workshop.
2024 Padmashree awardee, retired Prof. Navjeevan Rastogi of the Department of Sanskrit and Prakrit Languages, Lucknow University, will be the distinguished guest in the inaugural function of the workshop. Speakers from various institutions from across the country have been invited to interact with the scholars. Dr. Mayank Shekhar from IGNCA, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Shri. D.K. Dubey, Advocate, Supreme Court, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Center for Kashmir Studies, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Preeti Sharma, School of International Studies, Central University of Gujarat will be the resource person for sessions spread across the two days. The convener of the workshop is Prof. Manuka Khanna, Head of Department, Department of Political Science, Lucknow University, Lucknow.
