International Interfaith Conference concludes with resolve to promote religious unity

Lucknow. The three-day International Interfaith Conference organized by City Montessori School, Asharfabad Campus at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium concluded today with a resolve to promote religious unity in the world. At the closing session, the dignitaries arrived here from Egypt, USA, Lebanon and various states of India vowed to keep endeavoring to establish religious unity in the world. They spoke unanimously that they would continue to make efforts to unite the whole world and pave the way for a New World Order based on the love and trust of humanity. It is worth mentioning here that the International Interfaith Conference was organized from 2 to 4 August on the theme "We Belong - for Peace Making'.

Commencing the talks on the 3rd and concluding day of the conference, Rev. Father Sebastian Kollithanam, Director, Kusht Niyantran Evum Unmoolan Samiti, said that nations progress only when all religions contribute to it. Art and culture destroy the ego and develop harmony. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, Representative of Dalai Lama, said that spirituality is the common thread that binds all religions together and makes us good human beings. 

He appealed to the young generation to abandon selfishness and work for the development of the family, society, and the country. Maulana A R Shaheen Qasmi, General Secretary World Peace Organization, New Delhi said that we should take inspiration from the simplicity and hard work of the late Dr. Jagdish Gandhi. Acharya Vivek Muni Ji Maharaj, Founder President, of Acharya Sushil Muni Mission, New Delhi opined that if the future generation gets the right guidance, they will bring glory to their family as well as the country. Dr. Anil Sarwal said that the young generation will definitely create a happy society in the times to come. Similarly,  Dr Ajit Kumar Shasany, Ms. Madhu Khanna, Bhrigu Peethadhishvar Poojya Gurudev Goswami Sushil Ji Maharaj, Mr Marazban Nariman Zaiwalla, Fr. Roby Kannanchira, Dr. David Risley, Mr. Arsh Ali many more scholars expressed their meaningful views and enlightened the masses.

In the afternoon session, students of various schools displayed their creative talent in various competitions like debate, photography, poetry, poster making, etc. and highlighted the essence of religion. In the closing ceremony of the conference, the prize-winning students were honored with trophies, medals and certificates. On this occasion, the Convener of the conference and Principal of CMS Asharfabad Campus, Mrs Trapti Dwivedi stated that the environment of friendship and unity thus created is the real achievement of this conference and this would indeed prove to be the real motivation behind developing values of brotherhood and fraternity in the future generation.
