Daughters of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh visited CSIR-CDRI Lucknow to connect with Scientists

Lucknow। On the 4th day of the ‘Sansad Bharat Darshan’ Scheme run by Union Minister, Anurag Thakur, 21 meritorious students visited CSIR-CDRI Lucknow in the Program JIGYASA & interacted with Scientists as part of their journey. Where they came to know about the Contribution of CDRI in the development of India in the field of Drugs discovery.
"Sansad Bharat Darshan" program, pioneered by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, embarks on a transformative journey to empower achievers across diverse domains through enriching educational tours across the country. This unparalleled initiative aims to provide participants with exposure to various academic, administrative, cultural, historic, ecological, and corporate centers, fostering holistic growth and nurturing the future leaders of India.
Dr. Sanjeev Yadav, Senior Scientist CSIR-CDRI, welcomed all students and informed them about Institute. He expressed his overjoy to host the aspiring young minds and said, CSIR-CDRI is one of India's premier research institutions in the field of drug discovery and development, Dr. Sanjeev informed them about the Drugs made by CDRI which are currently serving mankind. He showed them the various exhibition and explained how Institute works in different Disease areas.
During the visit, the young girls were given the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art research and facilities in the endocrinology laboratory, where they interacted with role model lady scientists Dr. Ritu Trivedi and Dr. Divya Singh for inspiration. Both the scientists along with their research team graciously shared insights into their research endeavors and the significant impact of endocrinology on drug development and medical advancements.
The visit to CSIR-CDRI Lucknow, provided the students an immersive exposure to the world of scientific research and innovation, encouraging their interest in the pursuit of knowledge and scientific excellence. The students also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of this transformative program, as it broadened their horizons and inspired them to dream big. They were profoundly moved by the warm reception at CSIR-CDRI Lucknow and the encouragement they received from the esteemed researchers.
