Triveni Market shops sealed due to outstanding house tax, traders protested

Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Municipal Corporation John 3 locked and sealed all the 65 shops of Triveni Market located in Kidwai Nagar at 8 am on Tuesday due to outstanding house tax of Rs 35 lakh. When traders came to open their establishments in the morning, they found the locks of their shops sealed. As soon as the information was received, all the traders started protesting against the incident and started accusing the market owner of not paying the tax on time and the shopkeepers would have to bear the consequence.

Due to non-payment of house tax of Triveni Market located in Kidwai Nagar, 65 shops of the market were sealed by the Municipal Corporation on Tuesday morning. When the traders who came to open their shops in the morning came to know about this, they became angry.

The traders said that all the traders have been paying the rent to the landlord Ruby Pandey on time. It is said that house tax of Rs 35 lakh 13 thousand is outstanding on the house. Let us tell you that Trivedi Market is a famous market of Kidwai Nagam and there are shops of readymade garments, bangles and other items and the shopkeepers here have to bear the brunt of non-payment of Municipal Corporation tax dues by the owner.
