Skoda Auto announces all-new compact SUV for India

28-02-2024. Mumbai. Skoda Auto India is not taking its foot off the accelerator pedal when it comes to the Indian market. In its third major product offensive after the Kushaq and Slavia, the company announced plans for an all-new compact SUV that will launch in India in the first half of 2025.
Speaking on the announcement, Skoda Auto A.S. Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto, said, "India is important for Skoda Auto's global growth, due to its market strength and as a development and manufacturing base for our expansion into new markets, including ASEAN and the Middle East. From 2021 onwards Our sales in India have more than doubled and we are now taking the next step by further expanding the range of models designed for customers in India and internationally.
The all-new compact SUV coming in 2025 will be an important addition to customers I am confident that the expansion of the Skoda portfolio will contribute to our India growth target of achieving approximately 5 per cent market share for the Volkswagen family of brands by 2030.
