Iram Public College Celebrates Mother's Day Honoring Student Mothers and Advocating Gender Equality
Iram Public College honored mothers and promoted gender equality during a heartfelt Mother's Day event in Lucknow.

Lucknow. Iram Public College, located in Indira Nagar, Lucknow, hosted a heartfelt Mother’s Day celebration aimed at honoring the dedication and sacrifices of mothers whose children study in the primary section of the school.
The event was marked by a series of vibrant cultural performances by students, including dances, musical skits, and poetry recitations—all prepared under the guidance of their teachers as part of their regular learning activities. The event served as both a celebration and an expression of gratitude toward the mothers who shape their children’s lives with love and commitment.
A special attraction of the program was the inclusion of fun competitions for the attending mothers. These activities, including dance performances and creativity-based contests, gave the parents a platform to showcase their own talents, bringing smiles and joy throughout the auditorium.
In her powerful address, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Sahr Sultan, extended her heartfelt thanks to all mothers, acknowledging their immense sacrifices and constant efforts in raising the next generation. She urged the audience to teach their children about the importance of a mother's role in life and emphasized the necessity of gender neutrality in parenting.
“Discrimination between sons and daughters can hinder a child’s mental and emotional development. True growth only occurs when children are nurtured with equal love and opportunities, regardless of gender,” Mrs. Sultan remarked. She also stressed the importance of educating children about personal safety, especially understanding the difference between good touch and bad touch.
Toward the end of the event, several mothers were honored with creative titles based on their engagement and spirit during the program. Awards such as “Active Mom,” “Laptop Mom,” “Creative Mom,” and “Wonder Mom” were presented in a special ceremony, adding joy to the celebratory atmosphere.
Mrs. Indu Srivastava, mother of student Tanay Srivastava, praised the school for organizing such interactive events. “Programs like these not only enhance the intellectual and physical growth of our children but also strengthen the parent-school bond,” she said. Echoing her sentiment, Mrs. Rinki, mother of Diyansh, expressed her satisfaction with the school’s commitment to all-round development.
The program’s smooth coordination and vibrant energy were cr
edited to the efforts of mother-teachers Priyanka Pathak, Manisha Singh, and Sana Farheen, who conducted the event under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Sultan.
Media Coordinator Mayank Srivastava provided all necessary information about the program, highlighting it as part of the school’s broader efforts toward community involvement and progressive parenting.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder that schools are not just centers for academic instruction but also nurturing spaces where emotional values, family involvement, and holistic development are fostered.
