Counting of Lawyers Association voting started amidst police security

Kanpur Nagar: After the Lawyers Association elections held on Tuesday, all the ballot boxes were sealed and taken to the Lawyers Association building under police protection and police personnel remained on duty to protect the ballot boxes. From 11 am on Wednesday, the ballot boxes were opened in the presence of the candidates for President and General Secretary and the votes were counted.
Voting for the Lawyers Association elections was completed on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning the ballot boxes were opened and the counting of votes started. On Wednesday, the votes of the candidates for President and General Secretary were counted.
Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh, Assistant Police Commissioner Kotwali Archana Singh and Assistant Police Commissioner Swaroop Nagar Shikhar were present with the police force to observe the arrangements and preparations at the counting venue and took stock of the security arrangements and other arrangements. He talked to the officers and employees and gave necessary guidelines to prevent any disturbance of peace during vote counting.
