Compassion and Unity Define Labor Dignity Celebration at St. Joseph’s College

Prayagraj :  In a poignant display of inclusivity and gratitude, St. Joseph’s College recently hosted a soul-stirring program dedicated to honoring the backbone of the institution: its support staff. The event, reported by the Anandi Mail Bureau, transcended a mere ceremony to become a profound reflection on human dignity and collective success.

The proceedings commenced with a warm welcome for the support staff, publicly acknowledging their indispensable role in the seamless daily operations of the college. This gesture set a tone of profound respect, reinforcing the philosophy that every individual, regardless of their designation, is a vital pillar of the institution’s success. The audience responded with heartfelt appreciation, filling the atmosphere with a palpable sense of gratitude.

Following the welcome, a solemn Bible reading and prayer session sought divine blessings for all present. The St. Joseph’s College choir further elevated the mood with a beautiful prayer song, radiating positive energy and a message of solidarity that resonated deeply with the listeners.

The event featured several influential speakers who bridged the gap between labor and leadership:

Daksh Abhisikta Layal: Delivered a thought-provoking speech highlighting how the tireless efforts of support staff often go unnoticed despite being essential. He urged students to cultivate empathy and genuine respect for all workers.

Smt. Kirti Srivastava: Spoke passionately about equality, asserting that every profession deserves respect without discrimination. Her words served as a reflective lesson in humility for the student body.

Giri Shankar: Emphasized the power of collective effort, noting that institutional evolution is the fruit of teamwork and mutual appreciation.

A moving tribute was paid to departed staff members, acknowledging their past contributions with a moment of silence and remembrance. This was followed by a formal felicitation ceremony where support staff were awarded certificates and mementos. The pride and joy on the faces of those who usually work behind the scenes became the highlight of the day.

The program reached its spiritual zenith with a blessing from Rev. Fr. Walter D’Silva, who prayed for the continued strength and dedication of the staff.
