Saregama India and Tamgha Entertainment Announce Major Film on the Elite Rashtriya Rifles

Mumbai. In a significant move that promises to bring a powerful and authentic story to the big screen, Saregama India has partnered with the newly launched Tamgha Entertainment to produce a major feature film. The movie will shine a light on the untold stories of the Rashtriya Rifles, the elite counter-insurgency force of the Indian Army, celebrating their courage and unwavering dedication.

The film, which is currently untitled, aims to go beyond the typical battlefield action to explore the human-interest stories and values of the soldiers. The Rashtriya Rifles (RR), formed over two decades ago, is a specialized force tasked with counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite its remarkable success and being the most decorated force in the Indian Army with over 500 gallantry awards, it remains relatively unknown to the public. This film seeks to change that, offering a rare look into one of India’s most effective military formations.

A Partnership Built on Authenticity and Legacy
This project marks the first collaboration between Saregama and Tamgha Entertainment, a media company founded by Damyant Singh Khanoria and Major General RS Yadav, VSM. Tamgha’s mission is to tell authentic stories of the Indian Armed Forces, guided by the ethos of “Naam, Namak aur Nishaan” (Honor, Loyalty, Legacy). This partnership will leverage Saregama’s vast experience as India’s biggest Entertainment IP company and Tamgha's deep-rooted knowledge and respect for the armed forces to create a film that is both authentic and inspiring.
