Kanpur: The Pastors Association of Uttar Pradesh organized a special reception and swearing-in ceremony for its new executive members at Shastri Bhawan, Khalasi Line, Kanpur. The event brought together newly appointed members of the association, prominent pastors from various city churches, school managers, and other respected dignitaries.

The ceremony began with a prayer by Senior Pastor Santosh Pandey of Christ Church. In his welcome address, Association President Pastor Sanjay Alwin greeted all attendees and highlighted the association's accomplishments in the past year. He then honored the newly elected office bearers by presenting them with letters of commendation and the association's official ID cards.

The swearing-in ceremony was graced by the presence of Kanpur Nagar MP, Ramesh Awasthi, and Kanpur Nagar Mayor, Smt. Pramila Pandey. Both dignitaries honored the pastors by presenting them with a traditional scarf and letters of commendation. A significant moment of the event was when Kanpur Nagar's District Magistrate, Jitendra Pratap Singh, administered the oath to all 70 pastors. They pledged to work for the unity and integrity of the country and the well-being of all humanity.

Several other prominent guests attended the ceremony, including MLA Surendra Maithani, BJP's North District Presidents Anil Dixit and Shivram Singh, Congress President Pawan Gupta, MLA Hasan Rumi, Smt. Neelam Romila Singh, and senior social worker Vijay Kapoor. Other notable attendees were Harwinder Singh Lord, Dhaniram Panther, senior corporator and BJP leader Naveen Pandit, and Taufeeq Ahmed Sajid (Sir).

School administrators present included Mother Teresa School Chairman Yashraj Silas, Mrs. Helena Singh, Mary Jesus School Chairman Noble Kumar, and Father K.K. Anthony. The pastoral community was well-represented, with attendees such as Pastor Wilson Victor, Brother Noel George, Brother Chetan Mal, Brother Ashish Massey, Pastor E.J. Singh, Mrs. Swati Prakash, Mrs. Martin, Brother Sone Lal, and Pastor Gyan Prakash. The event served as a testament to the strong spirit of unity and cooperation within Kanpur's religious and social communities.
