Mayor inspected the ghats before the upcoming Chhath Puja festival

Prayagraj : On Saturday Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani inspected Vishna Puri Ghat, Bhagal Purva Ghat and Neeva Ghat of Ward No. 51, Ward 59, Ward 49 and Ward No. 2 of the city western assembly in view of the upcoming Chhath Puja.

During the inspection, the Mayor made sure that the ghats are cleaned, the movement of devotees on the ghats should be easily facilitated and organized so that the devotees do not face any problem in reaching the ghats, the soil should be leveled on the ghat road, repair work should be done, lighting etc. should be ensured, apart from this, there should be no water stagnation for a long time Swamp was found on the ghats. In order to facilitate the ghats, the Mayor directed the officials to put sand bags at all the places and complete the ghats and the access road before Chhath PujaAll the councilors told the Mayor to make temporary lighting arrangements on the ghat road and Orders were given to get barricading done at those places where there is more swamp or mud and there is a possibility of an accident. Make sure to make arrangements for Chhath Puja like before.
