Commencement of 'Summer Science Program-2024' at Gujarat Science City
Lucknow. The 'Summer Science Program-2024' has been specially organized from May 18 to May 31 at Gujarat Science City, which is functioning under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat.
Various workshops will be held from 11 am to 4 pm on five days of the week, from Tuesday to Saturday. These workshops include Model Rocketry, Mobile App Development, 3-D Modeling and Printing, Maths through Origami, Fun Physics, Wonder of Chemistry, Electronics Circuit Making,Internetof Things Technology on Home Automation, Telescope Making, Drone, and Aerodynamics.
The program launched on May 18 and will run until May 31. A Model Rocketry Workshop was conducted on the first day, where students were taught how to make rockets. Participating students created paper rockets using gum, steel pipes, and scissors, launching them into the air with a launch pad made of pipes and a bottle. Newton's and Bernoulli's principles were explained to the students during the model rocketry workshop.
The 'Summer Science Program-2024' aims to help students easily understand science and learn new things through various activities during the vacation holidays. Students aged 14 to 18 years can participate in these workshops free of charge. Importantly, Gujarat Science City regularly organizes such programs to enhance interest in science among students and the public.
