Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the Cyber Security Awareness Fortnight being run by State Bank of India against cyber fraud.
Lucknow. Prashant Kumar, Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the Cyber Security Awareness Fortnight being run by State Bank of India, Lucknow Division against cyber fraud at Police Headquarters Gomti Nagar Extension and released the Cyber Security Booklet.
Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh flagged off 06 promotional vehicles to be sent to Lucknow, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions of the state under Cyber Security Fortnight organized by State Bank of India, Lucknow Division to make people aware and released the booklet "Cyber Thug and Raju" for distribution to the general public in all State Bank branches of the state to make them aware about cyber crimes.
Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, while congratulating State Bank of India for this innovative experiment, said that cyber crime is an area which has taken a monstrous form in the last few years, preventing cyber crime is a big challenge. To get rid of this, consumers or institutions with digital transactions also need to be alert.
The method adopted by the State Bank of India along with the police department to make the general public aware is commendable. The medium of awareness should be the one which is understood by the general public. The state government is also taking steps to deal with this challenge. Continuous meaningful efforts are being made for this.
In view of effective prevention of cyber crime, at present cyber police stations have been opened in all the districts of the state and cyber help desks have also been established at every police station of the district for the convenience of the general public. UP Police is determined to fight cyber crime and curb the activities of cyber crime.
During the program, the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle informed that under Cyber Security Fortnight, along with radio jingles and advertisements in newspapers, street plays are also being organized at 24 centers to make the general public aware about the prevention of cyber financial fraud.
During the event, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle, Sharad S. Chandak, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order, Additional Director General of Police Crime, Additional Director General of Police Establishment, Additional Director General of Police Headquarters, Additional Director General of Police/GSO of Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police Human Rights along with other police officers and officials of State Bank of India were present.
