Cantonment Board and DSA Club Secure Victories in DRM Cup Under-14
Cantonment Board and DSA Club win their matches in the DRM Cup Under-14 Cricket Tournament held in Prayagraj.
In response, Khelgaon Public School put up a spirited fight but ultimately fell short, managing 128 runs for 7 wickets in 22 over. Kartavya Singh (26) and Shaurya Kumar (24) led the chase, but clinical bowling by Sajal Tiwari, who took 3 wickets for 22 runs, stifled the scoring. Akshit Rawat was honored with the Man of the Match award by former Ranji cricketer and BCCI umpire Tahir Abbas.
The momentum continued into Thursday morning as DSA Club faced off against MIC A. Batting first, MIC A struggled to build big partnerships, finishing with 120 runs for 9 wickets in 25 over. Aryan top-scored with 41 runs, while Ghulam Qadir added 22.
The chase proved to be a comfortable one for DSA Club. Powered by an aggressive 42 from Zaid and a steady 20 from Kartikeya Tiwari, the team reached the target in just 16.5 over, losing only two wickets. Zaid's match-winning knock earned him the Man of the Match trophy, presented by former cricketer Nitin Sibal.
