Pratapgarh. A meeting was held in the auditorium of the camp office under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan regarding the availability of water in the canals and the approval of the action plan for cleaning the drains in the year 2024-25.
In the meeting, Executive Engineer Irrigation Section Arvind Verma told that on June 19, water will start getting into the canals of the district, which will solve the water problem of the farmers.
The District Magistrate directed that special attention should be paid to ensure that water reaches the tail of the canals. Payment should be made only after conducting a field inspection of the drain cleaning work on the spot.
In the meeting, the action plan for cleaning the drains in the financial year 2024-25 was approved.
Chief Development Officer Navneet Sehara, Executive Engineer Irrigation Section Arvind Verma and concerned officers/assistants of other sections were present in the meeting.
