UP IAS Transfer: 34 Officers Moved, 14 DMs Changed
UP transfers 34 IAS officers, replaces District Magistrates in 14 districts before the Assembly elections.
LUCKNOW- The Uttar Pradesh government ordered a major IAS transfer late Monday night, moving 34 officers and changing District Magistrates in 14 districts. Moradabad, Hardoi, Etah, Kanpur Nagar, Amethi, Kushinagar and Ballia received new DMs.
Five District Magistrates were posted to other districts, while nine were removed and given administrative roles. Mahendra Singh Tanwar becomes Kanpur Nagar DM, Anunay Jha takes charge of Moradabad, and Shashank Chaudhary, formerly of Invest UP, now heads Amethi district.
Official sources said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was unhappy with some DMs' working style before Assembly elections. Moradabad's Rajendra Pensia, moved after four and a half months, is now Special Secretary, Prison Administration. Hamirpur's Abhishek Goyal also exited within months.
