Pratapgarh Police Beat Drums at Absconding Assault Accused's House, Issue Attachment Warning

Kunda : In a major law enforcement action in the Kunda division of Pratapgarh district, police initiated property attachment proceedings against a fugitive accused of assaulting a minor girl. The accused, identified as Virendra Kumar Yadav, son of Rajaram Yadav and a resident of Goghar village within the Maheshganj police station limits, has been absconding for several months since a formal case was registered against him.

Despite the issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants by the court, the accused continued to evade arrest. Consequently, the court issued orders for a public proclamation preceding property attachment.

Executing the court's directive on Friday, investigating officer SI Vandna Verma and SSI Neeraj Kushwaha arrived at the suspect's residence with a police contingent. The police team carried out the formal process by beating drums (Dugdugi) throughout the village to publicly announce the court's proclamation notice.

Officers informed the suspect's family members and local residents about the legal mandates. Police explicitly warned that if the accused fails to present himself before the court within the stipulated timeframe, his movable and immovable properties will be attached by the department as per established legal protocols. The visible action has sent a strong message regarding the police's commitment to pursuing evading offenders.
