458 Students Receive Free Bags and Study Kits at Coopestate Education Center

Kanpur: As part of the Seva Pakhwada campaign celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, a special distribution event was held at Coopestate Shiksha Sadan Junior High School (46-B, Udyog Nagar). Chief Guest MP Ramesh Awasthi and School Committee Chairman Ajay Kapoor (former Public Accounts Committee Chairman) distributed free textbooks, notebooks, school bags, shoes, socks, and undergarments to 458 studying children.

The event commenced with students performing a welcome song and the national song, Vande Mataram. Cooperative Estate Chairman Vijay Kapoor welcomed MP Ramesh Awasthi by presenting him with a ceremonial shawl, memento, and bouquet.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Vijay Kapoor shared that the school has been functioning under Cooperative Estate Udyog Nagar since 2003. From its inception, the school has provided free education along with essential learning supplies, including books, uniforms, sweaters, tie-belts, and footwear. He added that efforts are currently underway to introduce a free mid-day meal scheme for all students.

"More than 25,000 students have passed out from this institution so far, going on to build better lives and bring pride to their families and society. Our core objective is to ensure that financial hardship never stands in the way of a child's education," Vijay Kapoor emphasized, while appreciating the dedication of the school teachers.

Chief Guest MP Ramesh Awasthi praised Chairman Vijay Kapoor and the local entrepreneurs of Udyog Nagar for their philanthropic effort in supporting children from working-class and economically weaker backgrounds.

Former PAC Chairman Ajay Kapoor encouraged the students to draw inspiration from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, advising them to focus on discipline and hard work. "Your parents send you to school, and the local industrialists cover all your educational requirements. Make the best use of this opportunity, study with full concentration, and make your parents, teachers, and society proud," he said.

The event witnessed active participation from several prominent local industrialists and traders, including Harish Israni, Basant Lal Vishwakarma, Balram Narula, Pankaj Girdhar, Deputy Kumar, Kartik Kapoor, Ajay Gupta, Arpit Awasthi, Anil Srivastava, Ashok Juneja, and many others.
