Max Super Speciality Hospital Lucknow Unveils Specialized Child Development Centre for Comprehensive Paediatric Care

Lucknow: Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, has officially launched its state-of-the-art Child Development Centre (CDC) to address developmental, behavioural, and neurological concerns in children. The facility aims to deliver early identification, comprehensive evaluation, and multidisciplinary intervention for patients aged 1 to 18 years.

The specialized unit will be headed by an expert panel: Dr. M.U. Hasan (Director & HOD – Department of Pediatrics & Neonatology), Dr. Ankita Garg (Consultant – Child & Adolescent Psychiatry), and Dr. Devina Singh (Consultant – Paediatric Neurology).

Addressing common challenges like speech and language delays in toddlers aged 2–4, the center offers targeted care for conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, and sensory processing difficulties.

Highlighting the center's patient-first model, Dr. M.U. Hasan emphasized that personalized, evidence-based therapy plans tailored in close partnership with families ensure steady, meaningful progress. Dr. Ankita Garg stressed that early screening during critical brain growth periods enables families to access timely support, preventing long-term developmental delays. Furthermore, Dr. Devina Singh underscored the necessity of a coordinated multidisciplinary approach—combining neurological management, speech, occupational, and behavioural therapies—to optimize every child's physical, cognitive, and socioemotional growth.

The CDC integrates Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Special Education, Physiotherapy, and Sensory Integration Therapy under one roof. The facility also aligns with core WHO early childhood development framework standards, focusing on optimal health, responsive caregiving, safety, and structured learning opportunities.
