Rotary Clubs Host Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination Drive in Lucknow

Lucknow : In a major boost to preventive healthcare for young girls, the Rotary Club of Rajdhani and Rotary Club of Lucknow Elegance jointly organized an HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination camp at Prerna Study Hall in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The initiative was designed to raise awareness about cervical cancer and provide early immunization to schoolgirls.

During the drive, 60 students from Prerna Study Hall received their HPV vaccine doses.

Dr. Shipra Nath, representing the Indian Medical Association (IMA), conducted an interactive session with the students. She educated them on how HPV vaccination plays a critical role in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related illnesses, emphasizing the importance of timely preventive healthcare in building a healthier future.

The awareness drive was coordinated by Rotary Coordinator Aniket. Key attendees and supporters included Archana Agarwal (President, Rotary Club of Rajdhani), Vivek Agarwal, Rita Jaiswal, and Aparna Mishra (Charter President, Rotary Club of Lucknow Elegance). Additional Rotary members who actively backed the initiative included Pratima Tripathi, Krishna Agarwal, Madhulika Singh, and Dr. Deepti Chopra.

Reaffirming their commitment with the motto "Vaccinate. Educate. Empower," the participating Rotary Clubs pledged to continue driving health initiatives aimed at building disease-free, empowered communities.
