Youth Urged to Shun Addiction at Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College Seminar

Prayagraj : Under the ongoing "Sewa Sankalp Program" initiated by the Government of India, Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College hosted an impactful lecture series and student competition titled "Addiction-Free Youth and Developed India" under the guidance of Principal Prof. Gitanjali Maurya.

The event featured Jagriti Pandey, Deputy Director of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, as the chief guest and keynote speaker. Addressing the audience, she detailed various district, state, and national-level youth schemes, explaining participation procedures and award tiers available through the MY Bharat platform.

Highlighting the dangers of substance abuse, Ms. Pandey urged students to stay away from harmful habits early on, noting, "Turn away from addiction before stepping onto that path, as returning from it requires immense struggle and effort."

As part of the program, a competition centered on the theme "Viksit Bharat Sankalp" (Developed India Pledge) was conducted, featuring presentations from ten student participants. Among them, Anuradha Singh, Sakshi Mishra, Savit Soni, Sneha Pandey, and Himanshi Mishra secured top honors for their compelling insights.

The event saw active participation from key faculty members—including Prof. Anurag Tripathi, Prof. Shashikant Tripathi, Prof. Pawan Kumar Pachauri, Param Prakash Singh, Rovers Leader Dr. Manish Kumar, Rangers Leader Dr. Priya Srivastava, NSS Program Officers Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh and Dr. S.P. Yadav, and Dr. Huzaifa Sageer—alongside 247 enthusiastic students.

The program was coordinated by Prof. Chandra Shekhar Chaubey and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by convener Dr. Manish Kumar Srivastava.
